Suncor is currently hiring directly for the following positions for Fort Hills,
Candidates must have five or more years of supervisory experience, 10 or more years in a mining or heavy industrial environment, etc.
In this role you will reporting to the operations manager within primary extraction, you will be responsible for coordinating and leading a team of operators and providing on-site leadership to achieve the safe and efficient operations and maintenance of the Fort Hills assets.
Key accountabilities would be to develop operating procedures, Initial Commissioning Package (ICP), system walk downs and commissioning and start-up activities, and all other aspects of work prior to operation.
Successful candidate must review job scopes to ensure there are sufficient people resources to execute planned work to meet the production targets, etc.
Successful candidate must be able to Direct and coordinate, through a team environment, all activities engaged in repair, maintenance and installation of components for the light and medium vehicle fleet and review job scopes to help prioritize work to meet the production targets.
Key accountabilities include to manage, review, develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to improve reliability and availability of production assets.
Candidates must have High School Diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or equivalent. Possess a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record, etc.
You will be responsible for Reporting to the maintenance manager, secondary extraction, you will be responsible for coordinating and leading a team of maintenance technicians and providing on-site leadership to achieve the safe and efficient operations and maintenance of Fort Hills’ assets.
Candidates must have three or more years of experience working in oil and gas or a similar industrial environment.
This position has been identified as being safety sensitive. This is a camp-based position at the Fort Hills site.
Prior to startup, your responsibilities will include developing operations procedures, hazardous energy isolation sheets, operator rounds as well as performing commissioning and start up activities, and the execution of the operator training program, etc.
Successful candidate must supervise and develop front line leadership and warranty technicians.
