Service Worker I
Central Supply Service certificate or equivalent. Knowledge of O.R instruments preferred. Minimum of 12 months processing experience preferred.
Clerk III – Casual Cold Lake HCC HIM
Responsibilities include operating reception desk/central facility switchboard and determining service or assistance required. Ability to explain procedures, obtain and document factual information, etc.
Administrative Support
All employees must provide a criminal record check that is satisfactory to AHS in compliance with the AHS Security Screening Procedure.
Nursing Attendant (Ed Allow)
Health Care Aide certificate or equivalent desired. If the employee does not have this certificate or equivalent, they are required to register and complete a distance learning program within a reasonable time after employment.
Nursing Attendant
Salary would be $19 – $23. All employees must provide a criminal record check that is satisfactory to AHS in compliance with the AHS Security Screening Procedure.
Clerk IV – Research Administration Assistant
Salary would be $23 to $28. Candidates must able to compile the documents into the proper agreement template(s). Ensure that the formats of the documents are standardized, etc.
Unit Clerk
All employees must provide a criminal record check that is satisfactory to AHS in compliance with the AHS Security Screening Procedure.
Home Support Aide (Ed Allow)
Successful candidate must be a graduate from a provincially recognized educational program for Health Care Aides. Must successfully complete a provincially recognized educational program for Health Care Aides within 18 months of starting employment, etc.
Home Support Aide (Ed Allow) – Supportive Living
Candidates must have knowledge and understanding of the HCA scope of practice. Depth and breadth of knowledge reflective of HCA education and experience.
Residential Support Worker
Successful candidate must be a graduate from a recognized educational program OR must complete pre-service manual during orientation and agree to enroll in an AHS recognized HCA certification program within 60 days of start date.
Lab Assistant
This position collects specimens, performs analysis, and reports results of clinical laboratory procedures within the scope of activity of a Medical Laboratory Assistant. Salary would be $22 to $28.
Maintenance Worker III
Successful candidate must be Grade XII Graduate or Canadian equivalent. Basic instruction in construction trades (3rd or 4th year apprentice level), or, 5th Class Power Engineering Certificate of Competency.
Secretary I
Candidates must have a diploma in office administration or equivalent Proficient in Microsoft word, excel and access, etc.
Research Assistant/Exercise Tester
Responsibilities include working as part of a multidisciplinary team located in Calgary and Edmonton, coordinates the scheduling of fitness assessments of the study participants.
Information & Privacy Assistant (Privacy Intake Line)
All employees must provide a criminal record check that is satisfactory to AHS in compliance with the AHS Security Screening Procedure.
Laundry II
The successful candidate must possess a Grade 10 education or equivalent. One to three years of experience in an institutional laundry setting would be an asset. As this position must communicate regularly with other members of the laundry staff, strong interpersonal skills and a good command of English both written and verbal are required.
Switchboard Operator
Candidates must have High School diploma or recognized equivalent required. Working knowledge/recognized medical terminology course is preferred.
Lab Assistant II
Completion of Level 1 of a Laboratory Assistant Program is required. Completion of Level 2 of a Laboratory Assistant Program is an asset. Eligibility to complete Level 2 of a Laboratory Assistant Program is required.
Social Worker II
A Bachelor of Social Work degree (BSW) is required. Experience in an acute Addictions and Psychiatric/mental health care setting is preferred.
Aboriginal Cultural Helper
Traditional Aboriginal (cultural preparation is based in oral cultures and not measured by diplomas and degrees). Traditionally earned understanding about Aboriginal cultural beliefs, values, customs, traditions, healing ways, ceremonies, traditional medicines and protocols.
Telecom Operator / Dispatcher
Candidates must have a valid first aid certificate, BCLS-HCP training, must be eligible for Solicitor General’s Community Peace Officer Level II appointment.
