In this role you will be responsible for managing Shift Team competency and staffing in order to provide a safe, reliable shift operations.

You must be must be completing 1st or 2nd year in BSc Geotechnical, Geological, or Civil Engineering. Available for a four month work-term starting in September 2016.
You will be a member of a multidiscipline team along with other process engineers and work closely with the operating and reliability teams to improve and optimize plant performance. Candidate must be comfortable and capable of working in an operating environment (climbing, lifting, walking, and adhere to hair and beard policy in classified areas).
Candidates must be a mechanical Engineering student, preferably in 3rd year. Available for an eight month work term starting in September 2016.
Student must be enrolled in 3rd or 4th year of a Chemical Engineering program. Available for a 4 month work term starting in September 2016.
You will be responsible for maintenance outage support- Working very closely with inspectors and maintenance trades to efficiently assess a plant’s condition and provide the necessary solutions for repairs while completing it all during a short time frame.
Candidates must be students with at least 2 years of undergraduate degree completed, majoring in Physical or Chemical Limnology, Environmental Chemistry, Environmental Science or similar discipline.
All candidates must be 2nd, 3rd or 4th year Business Student (Accounting, Finance, Commerce or Business Management). Available for an 8 month work term starting in September 2016.
Candidates must have Alberta Journeyperson certificate or Interprovincial “Red Seal” Millwright’s certificate. Grade 12 or GED equivalent.
Students must be completing 2nd, 3rd or 4th year in BSc Mining Engineering. Available for a 4/8 month work term starting in September 2016.
Candidates must have a valid Alberta Journey certificate or Interprovincial “Red Seal” Electrician’s certificate. Minimum High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
Candidates must have strong writing skills with an ability to write in a journalistic format. Ability to clearly communicate complex technical information, frequently to a non-technical audience, etc.
Successful candidate will have minimum 4th Class Power Engineer certificate up to and including 1st Class Power Engineer certificate. Minimum of Wastewater treatment certification for the Water area, etc.
You will be responsible to evaluate rotating equipment performance through condition based assessment (interpretation of vibration and oil analysis data) with a review of the maintenance history and plan, etc.
Candidates must have Willingness to work a variety of shifts. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects. Ability to effectively communicate and demonstrated ability to work with diverse individuals and groups (Millwrights, Pipefitters, Mechanics, etc.)
Candidates must have a valid Alberta Journeyman certified or Interprovincial “Red Seal” Instrumentation ticket, a High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED), etc.
Required Tickets: Carbon, Stainless Steel TIG with fluxcore fill and cap. Additional Information: Indoor work environment. Once hired, the successful candidates will be permitted into Local 488.
